KY 86 Improvements - Breckinridge County
A public meeting was held on December 13th, 2023 at the Stinnetville Community Church to discuss improvements along KY 86 in Breckinridge County from Jesse Priest Road and Rosetta Corners Road. Three alternates were presented for input. Two of the alternates followed closely to the existing roadway while improving roadway width and curvature. One alternate was a “cross country” alternate that completely realigned the roadway in this area. There was a good turnout to the meeting and KYTC received several comments and completed questionnaires. A new alternate that combined attributes of previous alternates was created to address comments, minimize the impacts to homes and properties and still meet project needs. This alternate was reviewed and selected as the “preferred alternate”. KYTC will now advance into final design of this project and anticipate an opportunity to start purchasing right-of-way in late 2024. If there are any questions about this project, please contact:

US 31W Project - Hardin County
Construction Is Complete

US 150 Corridor (Bardstown to Springfield)
(January 2023 Update) Nelson and Washington Counties:
- Following public meetings and Hearings held from 2019 thru 2021, KYTC has evaluated public input, engineering considerations, environmental impacts, availability of funding, and other criteria and has made decisions regarding the advancement of the US150 corridor:
- Nelson County – Alternative 2A, as previously presented to the public as the preferred alternative, has been confirmed by the Project Team as the Preferred alternative to advance.
- Washington County – Alternative 1, as presented to the public in April 2019 public meetings, has been identified by the Project Team as the selected alternative to advance.

- Next Steps:
- Nelson County - Right of Way acquisition is in progress. An informational meeting for affected property owners was held in December, 2022. Acquisition is anticipated to be complete early this year (2023) and coordination with utility companies will also begin this year. Construction funding is currently scheduled for 2026 but is subject to change with the 2024 Highway Plan and budget process.
- Washington County from Fredericktown Road to Mayfield Lane - Right of Way acquisition is nearly complete and utility relocation coordination is in progress. Construction funding is identified within the current biennial budget and construction is anticipated to begin by mid-2024.
- Washington County from Mayfield Lane to Springfield Bypass - Final design work is in progress and acquisitions are anticipated to begin in early 2024. An informational meeting for affected property owners will be scheduled. Construction funding is currently scheduled for 2026 but is subject to change with the 2024 Highway Plan and budget process.
