The Office of Public Affairs (OPA) serves the public, partners, and Cabinet employees by communicating the various ways the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet enhances the quality of life in Kentucky through a multimodal transporation system and embodies the organization's core values: connecting the Commonwealth, driving the economy, serving the taxpayers, and cultivating a dynamic culture.
OPA central office staff and public information officers in each of the state's 12 districts collaborate with entities throughout the Cabinet, including the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety and the Department of Vehicle Regulation, to coordinate public awareness efforts and events, such as National Work Zone Safety Week, Click It or Ticket, and the Adopt-a-Highway program.
Through news releases, social media platforms, video productions, and live events, OPA keeps Kentucky informed about the transportation infrastructure that connects motorists to people and places that matter to them most.
