Traffic Forecasting

Traffic forecasts are made for planning, environment analysis, and redesign purposes for KYTC projects.  The Division of Planning serves as the Cabinet's traffic forecasting clearinghouse.  For more information on Transportation Cabinet traffic forecasting, click the following link: Traffic Forecasting FAQ.

Transportation Cabinet employees may request a forecast by submitting one of the traffic forecast request forms below:

Forecasting Partners

• The Traffic Model Users Group promotes traffic forecasting/modeling technology sharing.
• The Kentucky Transportation Center has been instrumental in developing the 2023 Traffic Forecasting Report​. ​
