Traffic Forecasting

Traffic forecasts are made for planning, environment analysis, and redesign purposes for KYTC projects.  The Division of Planning serves as the Cabinet's traffic forecasting clearinghouse.  For more information on Transportation Cabinet traffic forecasting, click the followinf link: Traffic Forecasting FAQ.

Forecasting Partners

• The Traffic Model Users Group promotes traffic forecasting/modeling technology sharing.
• The Kentucky Transportation Center has been instrumental in developing the equivalent single axle load (ESAL) information used for pavement design.
• The Mobility Team is developing new tools for the analysis of traffic congestion.
