US 60 Improvements | Woodford County | KYTC Item No. 7-117
June 5, 2026 - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is advancing plans to improve US 60 (Lexington Road/Versailles Road) from the Bluegrass Parkway to Pisgah Pike in Woodford County. The project is intended to improve safety, increase roadway capacity, and enhance traffic operations along this important regional corridor.
In the 2026 Enacted Highway Plan, funding for the remaining phases of the project are:
- $1,070,000 Right of Way Acquisition – Fiscal Year 2027
- $2,340,000 Utility Relocations – Fiscal Year 2028
- $6,910,000 Construction – Fiscal Year 2031
The proposed project includes widening US 60 from its current configuration to a six-lane roadway throughout the project corridor. In addition, the intersections of Huntertown Road and Pisgah Pike will be reconstructed as Reduced Conflict U-Turn (RCUT) intersections to improve safety and reduce conflict points while maintaining access for motorists.
KYTC has been preparing for a Public Meeting to provide project information, present the proposed design, and receive public input. The meeting will be held:
July 7, 2026
5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
King's Way Church
4175 Lexington Road
Versailles, KY 40383
Project team members will be available to discuss the proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive comments from the public. Additional project information, including meeting materials, will be posted to the project website as they become available. The public advertisement for this Public Information Meeting can also be downloaded via Word document by clicking the link here.
KYTC appreciates the public's continued interest and participation as this project moves forward toward final design and construction.
