Passenger Rail service in Kentucky is presently provided by
Amtrak. Amtrak trains serve four cities in Kentucky. The Cardinal serves
the cities of Maysville, South Portsmouth, and Ashland and runs from Chicago,
Illinois to Washington, D.C. The City of New Orleans provides service from
Chicago to New Orleans, Louisiana, passing through Fulton. A Thruway motorcoach
connection is provided at Louisville, connecting Louisville and Indianapolis
continuing to Chicago.
