Project Purpose & Need:

The purpose of this project is to explore and provide feasible solutions to improve the saftey, mobility, and connectivity

in the East Danville/Boyle County area between KY 34 and US 150 Bypass.

Project Updates

August 20 ,2026 - A Preliminary Line & Grade Meeting was held on June 23rd, 2026 at the District 7 office. Preferred alternatives were selected for each segment.

Segment A: Alternative 2; modifications include a rural section of 12’ lanes and 8’ shoulders and a 10’ multi-use path to the west of the mainline.
Segment B: Alternative 2; modifications include a roundabout the East Main Street intersection.
Segment C: Alternative 1; modifications include a 3-way roundabout at the KY34 intersection with the mainline.

After completion of preliminary engineering and environmental studies, the project will not advance to final design at this time. Based on feedback received during project development, additional evaluation of future transportation projects is warranted. The project may be reconsidered as part of future planning efforts.”

April 1, 2026 - Public meeting held on 3/31/2026 from 5-7PM at the Inter-County Energy Building.
