I-265 Planning Study

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is currently working on a planning study to identify and evaluate improvements for I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) from I-65 to the new East End Bridge in Louisville, KY.

The study will:

·       Analyze existing and future conditions including traffic/capacity, environmental overview, and crash analysis.
·       Identify short-term improvements that can be quickly and effectively implemented as well as long term solutions.
·       Prioritize both short-term and future projects to provide guidance on effective implementation.

Two Public Meetings - one on September 25th and another on September 30th, 2014 - were held as part of the Public Involvement component of the study. These meetings provided the public an opportunity to review and rank existing projects and new projects identified by the study. KYTC is providing the same opportunity online below.

The public meeting displays and presentation are provided to the right under Supporting Documents. The survey from the meeting can be completed online until October 15, 2014 at the following link:
https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/I265Study and should take no longer than 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
