Downtown Maysville bridge closed

Due to corrosion damage on some cables, the Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge (US 62) that connects downtown Maysville with US 52/US 62 in Ohio has been closed until further notice. A repair project is pending, with an estimated completion date of April 15. Read the NEWS RELEASE for more information.​

State studying highway safety, traffic needs in Ashland-Boyd-Greenup urban area; public meetings set
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Jan. 9, 2020) – State highway engineers will host two public meetings this month to gather ideas on how to improve transportation in the Ashland-Boyd-Greenup urban area of northeast Kentucky.
 
Bridge replacement begins Monday on KY 211 in Bath County
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Jan. 3, 2020) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's $500,000 project to replace the aging KY 211 bridge over Cow Creek near Salt Lick will begin next week in Bath County.
 
High water closes state highways in NE Kentucky
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Dec. 17, 2019) — In northeast Kentucky, nearly 25 state highways are blocked or impacted by high water this morning after heavy rain and flash flooding in Carter, Lewis, Nicholas, Fleming, Greenup, Boyd, Rowan and other counties.

Slide repairs under way on KY 3056 near Maysville
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Nov. 25, 2019) – Repairs to a slide area on KY 3056 in Mason County are now under way. Crews will work through the winter to stabilize the hillside and reopen the roadway.
 
Downtown Maysville bridge (US 62) closed until further notice
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Nov. 18, 2019) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has closed the Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge (US 62) at Maysville until further notice due to continued deterioriation of damaged bridge support cables.
 
Emergency road aid funds announced for Lewis County slide repairs
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Nov. 14, 2019) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has announced that $85,890 in County Road Aid emergency funds has been awarded to Lewis County for slide repairs on local roads.
 
Temporary daytime closure of Simon Kenton (US 62) bridge at Maysville
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Nov. 14, 2019) – An inspection of the Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge (US 62) in downtown Maysville next week will require a temporary road closure.
