Interstate 65 in Louisville will close between the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and downtown Louisville (Jefferson Street) from June 1- July 31 to speed progress on replacing 3 aging bridges.
The closure will save at least a year of construction restrictions, and a signed detour will be in place. Local street closures and ramp closures will also be needed.

A public meeting was held on November 20, 2025, to provide interested members of the public with the opportunity to learn more about the study and provide input.

A second public meeting is planned for Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lehmann Hall at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (3511 Rudd Avenue, Louisville, KY 40212)
