Interstate 65 in Louisville will close between the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and downtown Louisville (Jefferson Street) from June 1- July 31 to speed progress on replacing 3 aging bridges.
The closure will save at least a year of construction restrictions, and a signed detour will be in place. Local street closures and ramp closures will also be needed.

Project Manager's Bootcamp Xpress Training

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's (KYTC) mission is "to provide a safe, efficient, environmentally sound and fiscally responsible transportation system that delivers economic opportunity and enhances the quality of life in Kentucky." In an effort to improve its project delivery success rate and ability to carry out its mission, KYTC has partnered with the Kentucky Transportation Center (KTC) to develop and deliver Project Manager's Boot Camp Xpress (XPress) training. The Cabinet requires all consultant project managers intending to undertake project management duties for project-specific contracts on behalf of the Cabinet to have attended Xpress.

The next offering of Xpress is scheduled for December 14 and 15, 2022. All course activities will be held at the Transportation Cabinet Office Building (200 Mero Street, Frankfort, KY) in the Conference Center room C117. Each day, the training will run from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Registration is currently open, so please grab your spot ASAP. Spaces are limited. Registration may be found online at: https://uk.eventsair.com/technology-transfer-training/pmbx/Site/Register

The Xpress registration fee is $450.  Please note: once registered, there is a $50 cancellation fee and a $50 change fee (e.g., changing who is attending from your firm). If a prospective attendee cancels within two weeks of the training, they will not receive a refund. If you have any questions, please contact Jeff Jasper (Jeff.Jasper@uky.edu) at the Kentucky Transportation Center instead of the Division of Professional Services.

To date, 340 students have attended Xpress. Praise for the course has been nearly unanimous, and it has been strongly endorsed by the Cabinet's leadership as well as the consultant community. We look forward to seeing you at Xpress!
