Interstate 65 in Louisville will close between the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and downtown Louisville (Jefferson Street) from June 1- July 31 to speed progress on replacing 3 aging bridges.
The closure will save at least a year of construction restrictions, and a signed detour will be in place. Local street closures and ramp closures will also be needed.

Emergency closure of KY 434 in Bullitt County due to embankment slide

Louisville, KY (April 23, 2018) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that KY 434 (Coleburg Road) in Bullitt County is being closed this afternoon due to an embankment slide. The road will be closed to traffic at the bridge over the Rolling Fork Creek near the Bullitt/Hardin County line (mile marker 0.0 to 0.3). This closure is located approximately one mile south of Lebanon Junction.

KYTC maintenance staff are on site evaluating the extent of the slide and determining the level of repairs needed. KY 434 will remain closed until such repairs can be made and the roadway deemed safe for traffic.

Motorists on KY 434 will need to detour this area via KY 61 to I-65 South to KY 313 (Joe Prather Highway) and then reconnect with KY 434.

The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.  Visit goky.ky.gov for the latest in traffic and travel information in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  You can also get traffic information for the District 5 counties at facebook.com/KYTCDistrict5 and twitter.com/KYTCDistrict5 .
