Interstate 71 ramp closures in Henry County on July 9-10
Louisville, KY (July 9, 2019) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of ramp closures tonight on Interstate 71 in Henry County. The final asphalt surface will be paved on the I-71 South ramps at KY 153 (Exit 28) in Pendleton.
The exit and entrance ramps at I-71 South and KY 153 (Exit 28) will be closed from 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9 until 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10.
Motorists on I-71 South should detour to KY 53 in LaGrange (Exit 22), turn left onto KY 53, access I-71 North and proceed to KY 153.
Motorists on KY 153 should detour via I-71 North to US 421 in Campbellsburg (Exit 34), turn left onto US 421 and then access I-71 South.
This work is part of a $4.2 million project that includes drainage improvements, pavement base failure repairs, crack sealing, asphalt resurfacing, and guardrail replacement. Louisville Paving Company, Inc. is the prime contractor. Construction is scheduled for completion in August 2019.
