Temporary closure of KY 1685 in Franklin County beginning August 13

Louisville, KY (August 11, 2018) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of the temporary closure of KY 1685 (Bedford Road) in Franklin County. KYTC maintenance staff will be replacing a large culvert under the roadway approximately one-half mile north of the Franklin/Woodford County line near Vansant Road (mile marker 0.46). This work was planned for late July, but had to be postponed due to inclement weather.

KY 1685 is scheduled for closure on Monday, August 13 at 9 a.m. and will remain closed for approximately two weeks. Road closures signs will be placed at the intersections with US 460 in Franklin County and US 421 in Woodford County. Residents on KY 1685 will have access to their driveways on either side of the closure area (see map below).
