Paving Work Scheduled on a Portion of U.S. 127 in Franklin County Beginning This Week
Overnight Lane Closures to take place as part of the work

LOUISVILLE, KY (July 6, 2020) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of paving work scheduled to begin on a portion of U.S. 127 (Lawrenceburg Road) in Franklin County this week. Crews will be performing ultrathin paving work from the Franklin/Anderson County line (mile marker 0) to U.S. 60 (mile marker 6.1). Ultrathin paving is one of several preventative maintenance techniques used by KYTC to help extend the lifetime of pavement on roadways.

Overnight lane closures will take place as part of the work beginning on Thursday, July 9. Lane closures are possible from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily until the work is complete. A contract for the work was awarded in April to Louisville Paving and Construction in the amount of $886,164.

The date and duration of this work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.  Visit goky.ky.gov for the latest in traffic and travel information in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  You can also get traffic information for the District 5 counties at facebook.com/KYTCDistrict5 and twitter.com/KYTCDistrict5.
