Interstate 65 weekend road work in Jefferson County July 5-8

Louisville, KY (July 3, 2019) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of roadwork this weekend on Interstate 65 in Jefferson County. Contract crews will begin the installation of a latex overlay for waterproofing on the I-65 bridge over I-264 (Watterson Expressway).

The left lane of I-65 South will be closed over I-264 (mile marker 130.7) from 8 p.m. on Friday, July 5 until 5 a.m. on Monday, July 8.

This work is part of a project to perform repairs on several bridges on and over Interstates 65 and 264 in Louisville. Hall Contracting of Louisville was awarded a $2.3 million contract for this project. Construction began in early June and is scheduled for completion in November 2019.
