KY 22 (Brownsboro Road) and Springcrest Drive Intersection Improvement Project - Project 5-371.10 - CID 231311

Purpose

This project will provide much-needed safety and operational improvements by improving turning movements on KY 22 at Springcrest Drive.  
Project Scope

KY 22 Intersection Improvement Project – Reconstruct KY 22 at Springcrest Drive.
Type of ProjectLeft turn lane on KY 22 at Springcrest Drive with minor drainage and roadside improvements from just east of Cliffwynde Trace to just east of Brownhurst Cove Road. The existing culvert over Goose Creek will remain in place; however, as part of the widening project, both sides of the culvert will be extended to accommodate the project's widened road​way.

Typical Section

The project's typical sections can be seen below for KY 22.  KY 22 will have two 11 feet travel lanes and a left turn lane at the Springcrest Drive intersection.  A 6-foot sidewalk will be installed along the north side of KY 22 between the entrance just east of Cliffwynde Trace and Brownhurst Cove Road.


Traffic ImpactsMotorists can expect lane closures, traffic shifts, and delays. Motorists should heed the temporary signal, follow signs and reduce speed to navigate through the work zone. During phase 2 of the project, KY 22/Brownsboro Road will be reduced to one lane between Cliffwynde Trace and Pine Hurst Lane beginning Thursday, November 16.
