Does the State Traffic Records Strategic Plan make provisions for coordination with key Federal traffic records data systems?
Please identify, with appropriate citations from the plan, how the State Traffic Records Strategic Plan encourages alignment with and participation in key Federal traffic records data systems (FARS, SafetyNet, MCMIS, NEMSIS, NIEM, CDLIS, etc.). If there are no citations to key Federal data systems in the plan, a brief narrative describing how specific projects foster cooperation with Federal data systems may be submitted instead.

It does not appear the Traffic Records Strategic Plan makes provisions for coordination with key Federal traffic records data systems. Kentucky should be commended for encouraging efforts by member agencies to work with their Federal traffic records partners. KTRAC has encouraged improvement towards national standards, for instance, compliance with MMUCC and MIRE and the FDEs.
