Needs to have CAPTION INFO: What is happening, who is in the photo, and who took the photo
To tell a story in the picture. Does it back up what you are trying to say? Picture are a valuable part of the story that we are telling. Does it tell the story without words?We want the viewer to see themselves and their students doing the same thing.
| PICTURES NEED: *To be engaging *Shows positive activity *Show smiles and happiness *Have photographer credits and caption info *Have permission to use the photo from the photographer *Have permission from the people in it (Download Release) *Have good lighting *Has background situations that lend to the story or message
| AVOID: * Ugly, nasty, shocking, messy, cluttered, or unpleasant things in the background * Looming shadows that make the picture feel dark or oppressive *Dark or sad weather *Frowns, scowls, or expressionless faces *Low-resolution images *Dangerous or unattractive activities happening (We don't want to encourage bad or unsafe behavior)
