Old Hartford Road Roundabout
The project is designed to alleviate congestion in the vicinity and improve traffic flow through this busy corridor.

Construction will progress through multiple stages, beginning with Phase One on March 1, 2026. During this phase, motorists should expect occasional narrowed lanes and flaggers at or near the intersection. Some nighttime lane closures are possible. During the second phase of construction, Foors Lane to the south will be blocked, and the intersection will operate as a 3-way stop. During the third phase of construction, Foors Lane will be reopened, and motorists should be alert for changing traffic patterns as construction progresses towards completion.

What is a roundabout?
A roundabout is a one-way circular intersection in which traffic moves counterclockwise around a center island. Roundabouts do not have traffic signals or stop signs, which allows for continuous traffic flow and increased vehicle capacity.
Roundabout Safety
Roundabouts are a nationally-proven safety countermeasure that provides a 37% reduction in crashes and up to 90% reduction in fatalities by reducing conflict points and the risk of right-angle crashes — what people often call "t-bones".
