Interstate 65 in Louisville will close between the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and downtown Louisville (Jefferson Street) from June 1- July 31 to speed progress on replacing 3 aging bridges.
The closure will save at least a year of construction restrictions, and a signed detour will be in place. Local street closures and ramp closures will also be needed.

Temporary daytime closure of Simon Kenton (US 62) bridge at Maysville

For Monday, Nov. 18, inspection

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Nov. 14, 2019) – An inspection of the Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge (US 62) in downtown Maysville next week will require a temporary road closure.

Beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, engineers will close the Ohio River bridge until about 3 p.m. to conduct a special inspection of the bridge's cable suspension system. The work is part of monthly inspections ordered after damage was found earlier this summer. Repairs are pending.

While the bridge is closed, traffic should detour using the William H. Harsha Bridge (US 68) three miles west of Maysville to connect between Kentucky and US 52 or US 62 in Ohio.

Currently, the Simon Kenton Memorial Bridge is restricted to a 3-ton weight limit until damaged cables can be repaired. If the new weight limit is not obeyed, the bridge will have to be closed. The Cabinet asks for the public's assistance in following the new weight limit.
