Traffic Advisory: Temporary closure of KY 827 for slide repair Starts March 4; around-the-clock closure
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Feb. 27, 2019) – Slide repairs will require the temporary closure of KY 827 (Coal Branch Road) in Greenup County next week.
State highway crews and contractors will begin work about 8 a.m. Monday, March 4, on KY 827 at the 3.5 mile marker – between Henson Road and Vernon Road – to remove slide debris and repair the adjacent hillside. The road will be closed at the work location, which is about 2 miles west of US 23 near Greenup, day and night for about a week or until repairs are complete.
During the work, local traffic may access locations up to the work site. All thru traffic should detour using the AA Highway (KY 10) and KY 7.Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
