Interstate 65 in Louisville will close between the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and downtown Louisville (Jefferson Street) from June 1- July 31 to speed progress on replacing 3 aging bridges.
The closure will save at least a year of construction restrictions, and a signed detour will be in place. Local street closures and ramp closures will also be needed.

Traffic Advisory: Paving on KY 2 in Greenup County, closure on KY 854 in Boyd for pipe replacement

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (July 26, 2013) – Motorists should watch for temporary lane and road closures next week in Greenup and Boyd counties for paving and pipe replacement projects.

In Greenup County, contractors began paving nearly 7 miles of KY 2 from Shells Fork Road to US 23 near Greenup on July 24. That work will continue through Wednesday, July 31, depending upon the weather. Motorists should watch for one-lane traffic controlled by flaggers.

In Boyd County, contractors will close a portion of KY 854 near Garner – from Jack’s Fork to KY 3 – on Thursday, Aug. 1, to replace a drainage pipe underneath the roadway. The road will be closed Thursday from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Motorists should detour using KY 3 and US 60 or other local routes.

Road work schedules are dependent upon weather. Motorists should heed all warning signs, and drive carefully by remaining aware of workers and construction equipment at all times.
