TRAFFIC ADVISORY: KY 1945 (Jacks Fork) to close for slip repairs, July 27-30

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (July 22, 2020) – State highway crews will temporarily close part of KY 1945 (Jacks Fork) July 27-30 in Boyd County for slip repairs.

Beginning Monday morning, July 27, crews will use an excavator to shore up KY 1945 where it has slipped beside the creek at milepoint 3-3.9, south of KY 854 at Garner, then rebuild the roadway. The road will be closed, day and night, at the work site through Thursday, July 30, or until repairs are complete. Motorists may detour using KY 3 and Bolts Fork (KY 773).

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
