TRAFFIC ADVISORY: KY 111 closed Wednesday at Grange City in Fleming CountyFor covered bridge work
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (June 30, 2020) – Additional crane work needed to stabilize the Grange City Covered Bridge will close KY 111 on Wednesday at the historic Fleming County bridge.
Beginning about 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, state highway crews will barricade KY 111 at the intersection of KY 158 in Hillsboro and at Grange City. Only local traffic will be allowed past barricades, and KY 111 will be closed to all traffic at the Fox Creek bridge where a crane will be set to continue stabilization efforts on the Grange City Covered Bridge. Work should be complete by 4 p.m., at which time KY 111 will reopen.
During the road closure, all through traffic that uses KY 111 will need to detour using KY 158, KY 32, US 60, KY 11 or I-64 to connect between the Owingsville and Flemingsburg areas.
