Traffic Advisory: Slide repair to close KY 752 in Boyd County
For two weeks, beginning Nov. 14

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Nov. 7, 2019) – Slide repairs on KY 752 (Durbin Road) in Boyd County will temporarily close part of the highway for about two weeks.

Beginning around Thursday, Nov. 14, contractors will close KY 752 just east of Harmon Lane – a half mile from US 23 (at milepoint 5.4) – to stabilize an adjacent embankment slide. The highway will remain closed to all traffic at that location day and night for the duration of the project. Work is expected to be complete around Nov. 27, before the Thanksgiving holiday.

While the road is closed, there will be no access from US 23 to Harmon Lane, the Left Fork of Durbin and destinations beyond. Traffic should detour using KY 1937 (Bear Creek) from either KY 757 in Boyd County or KY 707 in Lawrence County. Message boards will be posted to alert travelers.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
