Traffic Advisory: KY 1937 to close May 6-7 for repair

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (May 3, 2019) – Kentucky Department of Highways crews will temporarily close part of KY 1937 in southern Boyd County next week for an embankment and road repair project.

Beginning about 8 or 8:30 a.m. Monday, May 6, KY 1937 will be closed at milepoint 1.2, about a mile north of the Lawrence County line and just south of Laramie Trail, as crews fix the road where the creek has washed it out. Work will continue through Tuesday, May 7. The road will remain closed at the work site until the repair is complete. Motorists may detour using KY 752, US 23 and KY 707 through Buchanan in Lawrence County.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
