Traffic Advisory: Daily daytime closures of KY 36 in Nicholas County this week For blasting on US 68 project
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Sept. 14, 2018) – Blasting operations on the US 68 reconstruction project at Carlisle will require temporary daytime closures of KY 36 next week, Sept. 18-20.
Contractors will close KY 36 on the Carlisle side of the traffic islands Tuesday through Thursday, Sept. 18-20, from 2 to 7 p.m. each day. The road will be closed to all traffic during blasting and cleanup of debris. Electronic message boards will be used to communicate closure times and any schedule changes.
While the road is closed, motorists may detour using KY 32 to access Carlisle from US 68 and vice versa.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
