Traffic Advisory: Temporary closure of KY 989 in Lewis County Closed April 2-6 near Toller Branch
FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (March 29) – State highway crews and contractors will temporarily close KY 989 in Lewis County at milepoint 7.7 in the Glen Springs area next week to repair an embankment slip.
Due to excavation work and equipment in the roadway, KY 989 will remain closed at the work site just north of Toller Branch from Monday, April 2, until Friday, April 6. The closure will not affect school bus traffic. All thru traffic should reroute using the AA Highway, KY 57 and KY 344 or KY 1237. Electronic message boards will be used to announce schedule changes. Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
