US 150 (Broadway) Improvement Project – Project 05-9057.00

Project Information: 

• Highway Safety Improvement Project (HSIP) funded safety project for improvements to U.S. 150 (Broadway) between 9^th Street and Baxter Avenue. 
• Work to include: 
• Asphalt milling & paving 
• Installation of new signage and pavement markings
• Traffic signal rebuilds and modifications
• Construction of concrete medians.

• • Resurfacing of Broadway between 9^th Street and Baxter Ave
    
  • New pavement markings along the outer lanes to formally establish parking spaces and bus stops
    
  • Introduction of left turn lanes west of I-65
    
  • Curb extensions at certain intersections to provide additional protection for pedestrians
    
  • Rebuild of signal infrastructure at Barrett Ave
    
  • Closure of the Barrett Ave “slip lane” and adding additional sidewalk width to account for a future project​​

Project Schedule: 

• Construction is now underway. 
• ​All other construction activities are expected to be completed by Fall 2026.
• Please note that additional traffic control may be in place after the project completion date due to overlap with the ongoing I-65 bridge repair work.
