Interstate 65 in Louisville will close between the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and downtown Louisville (Jefferson Street) from June 1- July 31 to speed progress on replacing 3 aging bridges. The closure will save at least a year of construction restrictions, and a signed detour will be in place. Local street closures and ramp closures will also be needed.

Crash Cushion Replacement on I-65 North in Jefferson County August 5
Lane closures possible during work LOUISVILLE, KY (Aug. 4, 2020) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of crash cushion replacement work taking place on Interstate 65 North in Jefferson County tomorrow. Crews will be working in the gore area near mile marker 136.5 (just south of the Abraham Lincoln Bridge) on Wednesday, August 5, from 8:30 p.m. to midnight. Lane closures are possible during the work. Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zone.
