Temporary closures on U.S. 60 and KY 2271 in Franklin County on July 18

 

Louisville, KY (July 18, 2019) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of temporary closures this evening on U.S. 60 and KY 2271 (Lafayette Drive) in Franklin County. KYTC maintenance crews will be rail mowing the tree limbs and brush at the bridge on U.S. 60 over Lafayette Drive. This work is being done in preparation for painting of the concrete beams, piers, and rails on this structure.

Both U.S. 60 and Lafayette Drive will be closed on Thursday, July 18 from 6:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. U.S. 60 will be closed in the area locally known as 'Louisville Hill' between Lafayette Drive and Taylor Boulevard (mile marker 7.1 to 7.9). Lafayette Drive will be closed between U.S. 60 and Shelby Street (mile marker 0.0 to 0.3). Access for residents on Lafayette Drive will be provided from Shelby Street.
