Purpose
The purpose of the proposed KY-1931 project is to improve safety and enhance local traffic operations along the corridor between Palatka Road and I-264. This segment currently experiences above-average crash rates, underscoring the need for targeted safety improvements, including intersection modifications, access management, and roadway design upgrades.
In addition, traffic congestion along the corridor leads to delays, reduced travel reliability, and increased driver frustration, particularly during peak travel periods. The project aims to address these issues by improving traffic flow, reducing conflict points, and providing a more efficient and predictable travel experience for both local and through traffic.
