Purpose​

KYTC is conducting a transportation planning study for the I-65 and I-265 interchange in Jefferson County. This study will examine potential improvement concepts to address congestion and safety at the I-65 and I-265 interchange.
Project Scope

This study will include all interchange ramps and will also consider impacts from the proposed KY 841/Air Commerce Drive Interchange.

Public Input

A Public Meeting was held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the South Central Regional Library, 7300 Jefferson Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40219. The meeting was an open-house event with no formal presentation. An online survey will be available through April 30, 202​6.​

While the meeting is hosted at the library, it is not sponsored or endorsed by the Louisville Free Public Library.

Timeline & ResultsThis planning study was initiated in Fall 2025 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
