I-65 and I-265 Interchange Planning Study - Jefferson County

Purpose​

KYTC is conducting a transportation planning study for the I-65 and I-265 interchange in Jefferson County. This study will examine potential improvement concepts to address congestion and safety at the I-65 and I-265 interchange.
Project Scope

This study will include all interchange ramps and will also consider impacts from the proposed KY 841/Air Commerce Drive Interchange.

At this time, interested community members are encouraged to share their input on the project by completing the online survey or attending the public meeting.

The Online Survey is available here. The online survey will be available through April 30, 202​6.​

The Public Meeting will be on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the South Central Regional Library, 7300 Jefferson Boulevard, Louisville, KY 40219. The meeting will be an open-house event with no formal presentation.

While the meeting is hosted at the library, it is not sponsored or endorsed by the Louisville Free Public Library.

Timeline & ResultsThis planning study was initiated in Fall 2025 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
