​
Purpose​​​​
  • This project involves the replacement of the I-64 bridges (eastbound and westbound) over Tucker Station Road. The existing structures, in service for over 60 years, will undergo a full replacement of all major structural elements. This project aims to improve safety and operational efficiency on the I-64 bridge over Tucker Station Road. The bridge replacement project will be completed while maintaining traffic on I-64. No residential properties will be impacted, but traffic impacts are possible on I-64 during construction.
Project Scope
  • Replacement of the entire bridge structure, including abutments and piers. 
  • No residential properties will be impacted, and traffic will be maintained on I-64.
  • The new bridge will provide adequate width for the fourth westbound lane and full-width shoulders.

Project Timeline​​Design: 2023-2026
Construction Begin: 2026
Construction End: 2028
*The above project milestone dates are subject to change due to changes in funding availability within the next Enacted Highway Plan.
