Bullitt County: KY 1450 (Blue Lick Road) Safety Improvement from KY 1526 (John Harper Hwy) to W. Triangle Lane – Project 5-80101

Purpose	Improve safety and reduce congestion along KY 1450 (Blue Lick Road) The design should address the lack of shoulder/recovery area and poor pavement condition, as well as the impedance of traffic due to multiple entrances to commercial and light-industrial developments along the route. Right of way and financial impacts should be minimized to the extent possible.
Project Scope	KY 1450 (Blue Lick Road) from KY 1526 (John Harper Highway) to W. Triangle Lane, including the influence areas of intersections.
Project Timeline	As of Fall 2026 (SUBJECT TO CHANGE): Final Design is anticipated to begin in 2027. The Right-of-Way phase may be funded in fiscal year (FY) 2026.* The Utility phase may be funded in FY 2029.* The Construction phase may be funded in FY 2029.* *The above project milestone dates are subject to change depending on the Cabinet's funding constraints and various other factors.

Public and Stakeholder Input/Meetings	A Local Officials/Stakeholders Meeting was held in October 2022 (virtual). A second Local Officials/Stakeholders Meeting was held in May 2024. A Public Meeting was held in May 2024. Phase 1 preliminary designs are complete and were presented to the public at a public meeting on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at Hebron Middle School.
