Road work scheduled to begin on KY 90 in Pulaski County, Aug. 11

SOMERSET, Ky. (Aug. 6, 2014) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) recently awarded a highway safety improvement project on the heavily traveled KY 90 in Pulaski County.

Work is scheduled to begin, Monday, Aug. 11. Work will consist of paving the outside shoulders, installing centerline rumble strips, edge line rumble strips and installation of guardrail delineators. These improvements will begin at mile point 0.421 (Old KY 90 Loop) and end at mile point 4.136 (US 27 Overpass).

Hinkle Contracting Company LLC was awarded the contract in the amount of $648.438. Work is expected to be completed Oct. 31.

The starting date and duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra time in reaching their destinations.
