This branch ensures individuals and organizations seeking to
bid upon a project with the Department possess a Certificate of Eligibility. The
branch is responsible for the general administration of statutory and
regulatory requirements of 603 KAR 2:015.
Compliance personnel in the division enforce equal
employment opportunity through the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1968. In
addition, compliance personnel are responsible for the administration of wage
and hour laws and regulations as they apply to highway construction in
Kentucky.
The On-the-Job Training Program, required by 23 CFR, Part
230.111, is administered in this branch. The program ensures trainees are
placed on Federal-aid projects when applicable.
Trainees are monitored for compliance.
Trainees hours are tracked to ensure the proper number of on the job
training hours are obtained for the employee to graduate from the program.
