Interstate 65 in Louisville will close between the Watterson Expressway (I-264) and downtown Louisville (Jefferson Street) from June 1- July 31 to speed progress on replacing 3 aging bridges.
The closure will save at least a year of construction restrictions, and a signed detour will be in place. Local street closures and ramp closures will also be needed.

United States Bicycle Route 76 signed in District 10
Route runs through Perry, Breathitt and Owsley counties

JACKSON, KY – United States Bicycle Route 76, also known as the TransAmerica Trail, is now signed in District 10. USBR 76 was established in 1976 as part of the country's bicentennial and is celebrating its 40th birthday this year. It was one of the first two US Bicycle Routes established by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), the same organization that certifies the United States Numbered Highways system that includes routes such as US 460. The other original national bike route is USBR 1, which runs north-south through the Atlantic coast states.

In District 10, USBR 76 enters Perry County from the east from Knott County via KY 550 and follows KY 550 and KY 80 through Combs, then uses KY 451 to Chavies. From there, it follows KY 28 through Buckhorn and the Gays Creek and Morris Fork areas of Breathitt County into Owsley County. At Booneville, USBR 76 picks up the route of KY 30 through Levi, Vincent and Travellers Rest to Green Hall, where it then follows KY 1071 into Jackson County and out of District 10.

Statewide, USBR 76 runs from Breaks Interstate Park in Pike County to the Cave-In-Rock Ferry crossing the Ohio River in Crittenden County. A map and more information is available at http://go.usa.gov/cuDvJ. Nationwide, the route runs from Virginia to Missouri, with plans under consideration to extend it to the Pacific coast in Oregon.
