Delays likely on busy segment of KY 15 in Perry County on Monday and Tuesday, April 25-26
JACKSON, KY – Drivers using KY 15 in Perry County between the intersections of the Hazard Bypass (KY 15/Business KY 15) and the Hal Rogers Parkway/KY 80 east should expect delays on Monday and Tuesday, April 25-26.
Workers will be doing core drilling, radar sounding and other data collection operations in this area, weather permitting. Motorists will encounter lane closures and possible short traffic stoppages, and should anticipate delays on this busy segment of KY 15.
This is preliminary work for a proposed project to widen KY 15 between the Hazard Bypass and a point just north of Morton Boulevard.
The work is expected to begin around 9 a.m. and will continue for most of the day on both Monday and Tuesday. Drivers should watch for lane closures and obey the directions of flaggers who will be controlling traffic.
Between 19,000 and 26,000 vehicles use this segment of KY 15 each day.
