US 460 in Menifee County to be closed on Saturday, July 20
JACKSON, KY – Drivers who use US 460 in western Menifee County near the Means and Cornwell communities will have to find an alternate route on Saturday, July 20. The road will be closed at milepoint 2.6 for a drainage pipe replacement. This is between Bill Peyton Lane and Major Wilhoit Road. Travel between Frenchburg and Jeffersonville, Camargo, and Mt. Sterling will be impacted.
Work will begin at 8 a.m. and will continue until 5:30 p.m. The road will be closed to all through traffic while work is ongoing.
No marked detour will be posted, but drivers can use KY 713 (Hawkins Branch Road and Indian Creek Road) as a detour route. Traffic coming from Montgomery County may wish to use I-64 and KY 36 through Bath County. Electronic message boards have been placed to alert motorists to the closures and the suggested detour route.
In case of inclement weather, the work will be postponed.
