KY 476 in Breathitt County to be closed Saturday, June 22
JACKSON, KY – Drivers who use KY 476 in Breathitt County will need to find an alternate route on Saturday, June 22. The road will be closed in the vicinity of the Hardshell community, near the Perry County line, to allow for replacement of two damaged drainage pipes.
The first pipe to be replaced is at milepoint 2.0. Work will begin at that location around 8 a.m. and should be finished around 12 p.m. Once that pipe has been replaced, the crew will move to milepoint 3.9 to replace another pipe. That work should be finished around 4 p.m. The road will be closed to all through traffic while the work is ongoing.
No marked detour will be posted, but drivers can use KY 80 and KY 15 through Perry County as an alternate route. Motorists should plan their trips accordingly.
In case of inclement weather, the closure will be postponed until another suitable date.
