Detour Monday thru Friday, 8 to 3

FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (Sept. 14, 2020) – Kentucky Department of Highways crews will close parts of US 62 in Mason County the next two weeks for drainage work.

Beginning Monday, Sept. 21, crews will close US 62 to all through traffic east of Sardis between KY 1029 and KY 324 (milepoints 1.8 to 3.0) to replace multiple drainage pipes underneath the highway. The road will be closed 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day for about one to two weeks.

Electronic message boards are being placed to alert traffic. During construction, motorists may reroute using KY 1029, KY 165, US 68, and KY 324.

Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
