Purpose
The purpose of the Preston Transportation Plan study is to determine needs and evaluate concepts to improve safety, reduce congestion, and improve multi-modal transportation options along KY-61 from Commerce Crossings Drive to Briden Avenue, or just north of I-264 to just south of I-265.

Project Scope
This study includes a full analysis of existing conditions along the corridor that will be used to develop practical solutions and improvement concepts to boost roadway safety, address congestion issues and improve traffic flow.

The study will focus on short-term and long-term improvements that KYTC and Louisville Metro can use for further project development and implementation. The Consultant will develop draft Goals and Objectives for any feasible project(s) chosen for further development following KYTC and FHWA guidance. This work will clearly identify project issues, goals, and needs within the study area.
