Pothole patching, sweeping, drain & ditch cleaning, striping, pavement marking, and maintenance crews may work on major interstates in the Louisville Metro area only during non-peak daytime hours and at night. Motorists should watch for roadside maintenance on interstates and highways throughout the rest of the district daily.
Jefferson County:
I-64 West: Closure of the ramp from I-64 West to I-264 East (Exit 1) from 9 a.m. on Friday, May 21 to Friday, June 4, for ramp improvement work. Motorists can detour the area by taking I-64 to I-65 to I-264 West.
I-264 East and West (Shawnee Expressway): Lane closures possible between mile marker 6 (Garrs Lane) and mile marker 0 (I-64) for diamond grinding, joint sealing and partial depth patching. On weeknights (Monday through Thursday), lane closures are possible between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next morning. On weekends, lane closures are possible from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
I-265 South (Gene Snyder Freeway): Left lane on the exit ramp to Westport Road and Chamberlain Lane (Exit 32) was closed on Jan. 29 after the overpass was struck by a vehicle. It will remain closed until a repair can be made. Drivers should heed signage while moving through the work zone.
I-265 East (Gene Snyder Freeway): Overnight lane closures possible from the Billtown Road interchange (mile marker 18.8) to the Taylorsville Road interchange (mile marker 23.3) for a concrete repair project. Lane closures are possible from 8 p.m. each night to 5 a.m. the next morning.
I-265 West (Gene Snyder Freeway): Overnight lane closures possible from the Taylorsville Road interchange (mile marker 23.3) to the Billtown Road interchange (mile marker 18.8) for a concrete repair project. Lane closures are possible from 8 p.m. each night to 5 a.m. the next morning.
I-265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) East & West: Temporary lane closures possible near mile maker 11.7 (Preston Highway interchange) for an ongoing LED lighting upgrade project. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone.
I-265 East (Gene Snyder Freeway): The off-ramp from I-265 East/KY 841 (Gene Snyder Freeway) to Billtown Road is scheduled to be closed between 8 p.m. on Friday, June 4, and 5 a.m. on Monday, June 7 for concrete work. Motorists can take the following detour: Continue on I-265 East to Taylorsville Road (Exit 23), from Taylorsville Road take the on-ramp to I-265 West, and then exit at Billtown Road (Exit 19).

KY 146 (La Grange Road): Daily Lane closures possible for sidewalk construction work starting on Monday, Feb.1, from mile marker 8.26 (near Reamers Road) to mile marker 8.41 (near the Oldham County line). Lane closures are possible between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
KY 841 (Gene Snyder Freeway) East & West: Temporary lane closures possible near mile maker 3 (Stonestreet Road interchange) for an ongoing LED lighting upgrade project. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone.

KY 864 (Poplar Level Road): Crews will be performing milling and paving work from mile marker 6.9 (near the intersection with Fern Valley Pass) to mile marker 7.1 (just before Poplar Tree Court) starting on Tuesday, May 25. Lane closures are scheduled to take place nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
KY 1020 (South 3rd Street/Southern Parkway): Overnight lane closures possible for installation of thermo striping and markings. Work will take place between West Tenny Avenue (mile marker 7.4) and Oakdale Avenue (mile marker 9.1). Lane closures are possible between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next morning.
KY 1450 (Blue Lick Road): Weekday lane closures possible between Gene Snyder and Preston Highway for road widening work.
KY 1865 (New Cut Road): Overnight lane closures possible for milling and paving work starting on Tuesday, May 11. Work will take place between Brown Austin Road (mile marker 0) and north of Gene Snyder ramps (mile marker 0.9). Lane closures are possible between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the next morning
U.S. 31E (Buechel Bypass): The right lane of the roadway is closed over the Norfolk Southern Railroad (mile marker 10.4) for bridge repair. Signs will notify drivers.
U.S. 31W (Market Street): Daily lane closures possible for sidewalk construction work starting on Monday, May 3.
All Jefferson County (Various Locations): Motorists should watch for crews performing striping work on various roadways between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. Lane closures are possible during the work. Drivers should heed signage while moving through the work zone.

Franklin County:
KY 3505 (Devils Hollow Road): Daily lane closures possible for resurfacing work between the Pierce Lane intersection (mile marker 0) and the River Ridge Road intersection (mile marker 0.2). Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone.
U.S. 127 (East-West Connector): Daily lane closures possible for resurfacing between U.S. 60 (mile marker 6.1) and KY 1005 (mile marker 7.1). Signs will notify drivers.
Henry County:
KY 55 (North Main Street): Daily lane closures possible for base failure repair between KY 1899 (Mulberry Pike/mile marker 0.7) and just north of Lou Avenue (mile marker 1.7).
KY 202 (Drennon Road): Daytime northbound lane closures possible beginning on Monday, May 24 for base failure repair between Gobbler Run Road (mile marker 3.2) and Bullitt Hill Road (mile marker 4.8).
Oldham County:
KY 1694 (Sleepy Hollow Road): Daytime lane closures possible for asphalt paving starting on Monday, May 24. Work will take place between mile marker 0 (Jefferson County Line) and mile marker 0.9.
KY 2854 (Dawkins Road): Daytime lane closures possible for asphalt paving starting on Monday, May 24. Work will take place between mile marker 0 (Bennett Lane) and mile marker 2.59 (KY 146 intersection).
Shelby County:
KY 53 (Mt. Eden Road): Work to widen a portion of the roadway will take place from St. Regis Drive (mile marker 6.4) to U.S. 60 (mile marker 8). Two lanes of traffic will remain open to motorists throughout the duration of the project.
KY 55X (Boone Station Road): Daily lane closures possible for milling and paving work from U.S. 60 (mile marker 0) and KY 55 (mile marker 2). Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone.
KY 395 (Waddy Road): Daily lane closures possible between mile marker 10 (near the intersection with U.S. 60) and mile marker 12 starting on Monday, May 24, for milling and paving work. Signs will notify drivers.
KY 636 (Back Creek Road): Full closure of the bridge over Little Beech Creek (mile marker 1.1) due to concrete deterioration. Motorists can take the following detour: KY 44 (Mt. Eden Road) to KY 714 (Hempridge Road) to U.S. 60 (Shelbyville Road) to KY 395 (Waddy Road).
KY 2862 (Old Finchville Road): Daily lane closures possible for milling and paving work from KY 55 (mile marker 0) U.S. 60 (mile marker 1.6) and. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone.
U.S. 60 (Shelbyville Road): Daytime and nighttime lane closures possible between the Shelby/Jefferson County line (mile marker 0) and Taylorsville Road/KY 55 (mile marker 8.39) to install center/edge line rumble strips and apply thermo striping.
Spencer County:
KY 1060 (Plum Creek Road): Temporary full closures of portions of the road possible for cross drain replacement. Work will start near the intersection of KY 44 (Mt. Washington Road/mile marker 0) and continue north to the intersection of KY 1319 (Dale Lane/Kings Church Road/mile marker 5.1) starting on Monday, May 17. During weekdays, portions of the roadway will be closed between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, nighttime closures between the hours of 5 p.m. and midnight are also possible.
KY 2885 (West River Road): Daily lane closures possible from mile marker 0 (intersection with Little Union Road) to mile marker 7 (intersection with KY 55) for rail mowing. Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone.
Trimble County:
U.S. 421: Routine inspection of the Milton-Madison Bridge from June 1 through June 4. Inspectors will be on or around the bridge daily between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. No lane closures are anticipated.
