A Portion of 2041 in Laurel County Will be Closed beginning Friday, July 9
MANCHESTER, Ky. (July 7, 2021) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that a portion of KY 2041 in Laurel County between the mile points of 1.289 (intersection with KY 3009) and 1.435 (intersection with U.S. 25) will be closed to through traffic beginning Friday, July 9 at 12 p.m., and is expected to reopen to traffic on Monday, July 12 at 9 a.m.
The closure is necessary for the demolition of an overhead bridge on I-75. Detour signs will be posted for an alternate route.
KYTC asks motorists to seek an alternate route, be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
