Roadway improvements project set to begin Tuesday, September 5 on U.S. 119 from U.S. 25E to KY 987 in Bell County
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that roadway improvements are scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 5 on U.S. 119 from U.S. 25E (milepoint 0.000) to KY 987 (milepoint 7.722) in Bell County.
The project will include resurfacing and will serve to improve congestion and freight movement via constructing a turn lane at Page School and a two-way left turn lane in the Wasioto vicinity near Pineville. The project has an estimated cost of $4.8 million and is scheduled for completion on June 30, 2018.
Work schedule time will vary with some work operations being performed at night. Intermittent lane closures will be in place during all operations.
KYTC asks motorists to be aware of the work zone, expect delays, and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
The date, time, and duration of work may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen delays occur.
