Temporary closures scheduled next week for two routes in Rockcastle County
Closures necessary to allow I-75 widening project work
SOMERSET, Ky. (April 4, 2019) – Two routes in Rockcastle County are scheduled to be temporarily closed Tuesday, April 9, while crews perform bridge demolition work on two structures as part of the I-75 widening project.
KY 2793 (Lake Linville Road) and U.S. 25 at Exit 62 will be closed to through traffic starting at 10 p.m. on Tuesday. Both roads are set to reopen by 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10.
In addition, traffic shifts will occur on I-75 beginning with south bound I-75 traffic scheduled to be shifted on Sunday night, April 7, and north bound I-75 traffic shifted on Monday night, April 8. Motorists are advised to pay close attention to signage and are reminded that speed limits are currently reduced along I-75 to 55 mph.
