Pilot Project Specific Highlights: Leitchfield Bypass
The Leitchfield Bypass project is leading the way as Kentucky's first functioning Common Data Environment (CDE)—a major step toward fully digital project delivery. Through collaboration between the contractor, consultant, and KYTC District 4, the project team is successfully using a sfotware platform to exchange and manage live 3D model data in real time. Instead of relying solely on traditional plan sheets, the contractor has been uploading updates from their construction model directly into the CDE, while the consultant pushes design refinements back into the same model. This two-way digital workflow allows the contractor, designer, and KYTC to stay fully aligned on field changes, design adjustments, and construction progress. [10.21.25]
