The One Stop Shop in
Frankfort is closed to the public due to staffing. The Rebuilt Section of
the One Stop Shop in Frankfort will continue to receive rebuilt application
packets that are mailed-in, emailed, or placed in the dropbox in the the One-Stop-Shop waiting area of the Transportation Cabinet Building.

Driver's Licensing Services
KYTC Regional Driver Licensing
Offices are accepting appointments and limited walk ins to request either a
standard or REAL ID credential or walk-in during office hours. Offices are open
for appointments Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. EDT. Qualifying
applicants may make appointments at

During the period March 1, 2020
through February 28,2021, any individual whose operator’s license,
permit or identification card has expired, will expire, was lost or stolen may
apply through a remote application process with the circuit court clerk in
his/her county of residence (KYTC now handles licensing for Fayette County
Residents) based on each clerk’s preferred method (i.e. mail form, drop-off
form). The applicant must not require any testing when requesting a card
renewal or replacement. More information about the application process is
available on the Administrative
Office of the Courts website.
Beginning July 7, 2020, Kentucky driver’s licenses, permits and IDs that expire on or after July 7, 2020 will no longer receive a 90-day renewal date extension and cardholders will be responsible for renewing their credential with their local circuit court clerk office in order for it to be considered valid.
Any individual whose operator’s license, permit or identification card has expired or will expire by June 30, 2021, may renew their credential through a remote application process with the circuit court clerk in his/her county of residence based on each clerk’s preferred method (i.e. mail form, drop-off form). State Traffic School and
Graduated Driver Licensing Courses
State traffic school and
graduated driver licensing courses continue to be offered only online.
In-person services will gradually resume in the coming months. Any currently scheduled classes have the option to participate in a
virtual instructor-led class by contacting Kentucky Safe Driver at 502-699-2295.

Motor Vehicle Services
The grace period for all vehicle and vessel registrations or disabled parking
placards administered by County Clerks or the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet
expired on October 6, 2020. If a vehicle or vessel owner with expired
registration did not renew by this date, they will be subject to late fees.
As a reminder, Kentuckians may renew registrations for vehicles, trailers and campers online at
drive.ky.gov or by mail. Boats may be renewed in-person at county clerk offices or through the mail.
Disabled parking placards must be renewed in-person.
County clerk offices serve as the application and issuance site for motor vehicle services.
Kentuckians are encouraged to contact their local county clerk to learn when each office will resume
in-person service. Visit this this
website to find your local county clerk office to confirm hours of operation.
The One Stop Shop in Frankfort is
closed to the public. The Rebuilt Section of the One Stop Shop in Frankfort

Transportation Cabinet Building where rebuilt packets can be dropped.

- Motor carrier permit and tax services
- Title/register/renew a vehicle or vessel

Secretary Gray's emergency order provides a 90-calendar day extension and late renewal fee waiver for the following items if the expiration date has passed or were to pass during office closures:
- Vehicle/vessel registration certificates
- Vehicle license plates
- Vehicle tag certificates
- Handicap parking permits
- Lien filings

RiverLink In-Person Customer Service Centers
RiverLink Walk-Up Centers have
reopened with special hours and several precautions in place to help keep
customers and employees safe. Click here for more

account anytime at Riverlink.com. Tolls owed can be paid online, by phone or by
mail.
