Highway District 6

Highway District 6 provides service to an 11 county area, including:

Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Kenton, Owen, Pendleton, and Robertson Counties

In addition to the construction and maintenance of approximately 4,600 lane miles of state highways and interstates, District 6 staff coordinate all aspects of road development from planning, design, and right-of-way purchasing to administering construction contracts. The District 6 office also performs highway maintenance functions including pothole patching, mowing and snow removal.

New Highway District 6 Office NOW OPEN

Northern Kentucky is growing, and so are we! Our state-of-the-art District Office is now open.

The new office provides more parking for visitors, improved office space for staff and larger meeting rooms to accommodate community leaders/members. The building opened in early November 2024 for staff members. A ribbon cutting was held on Friday, Dec. 6 to officially mark the occasion. KYTC Secretary Jim Gray, District 6 Chief District Engineer Bob Yeager and other leaders/lawmakers were in attendance.

The area near the District 6 office remains under construction as the former District Office building is in the process of being demolished.
